We had a very busy week this week! We traveled to Osorno last Monday and stayed the night with the Assistants to the President and did divisions with them for the evening. I got to teach a few Haitians with him and we had a cool lesson about the importance of a prophet and how he is the one that guides us. Kind of like the person driving a car and steering it. You can take that metaphor pretty far.

Tuesday was the leadership conference and it was way cool. I got to learn lots and meet new missionaries in the mission that have more time than me, but we have never crossed paths before. For lunch we had Papa John's and that was incredible. Good American pizza, not much beats that! We returned to Puerto Montt that evening on bus and did a few contacts in their sector before turning in for the night. Also traveled with a watermelon from Osorno to Puerto Montt and ate it that night, super tasty.

We got up really early on Wednesday to get to the airport by 6:30 for our 7:25 flight. Despite the early arrival we still nearly missed our flight but in the end we all got on the plane and back to Punta Arenas!

Thursday President Isom arrived and we helped get the interviews all set up and going. Friday was our Zone Conference and it was awesome. Elder Goodman and I talked about cleaning the inner vessel and how we can apply that to ourselves and missionary work. For lunch we walked to a restaurant owned by some members of our ward. That was our 3rd time eating there that week because one member payed for us to eat there, another it was the owners turn to feed us, and the 3rd it was the zone conference. Before this week, I had not eaten in a sit down restaurant like that since before I left the USA. It was fun.

Saturday we had our district meeting and then got to go to a baptism service in the evening. I always love seeing baptisms. It was beautiful.

Today we visited the lighthouse that is furthest south in all of the American Continent. it was an 8 kilometer (5ish miles) round trip walking along the beach to get there. It was so pretty and I saw a number of dolphins peek out of the water. We also found a PENGUIN! He was all alone so he was probably lost but it was so cool to see him.

This week we will finally be able to focus on our sector and work hard without a ton of other big events occuring. I love being busy though.

I hope you all have  a wonderful week!

Elder Brighton
