Week 9

We had an interesting experience this week while contacting. We knocked on a door and a young women about our age opened it. We introduced oursleves but she just scowled and didn't say a word. We didn't really know what to do, but we always try to ask for references from everyone and so we did. She just lifted her arm straight up and pointed across the street. So we thanked her and went to contact that house. We knocked one door and turned around and she was shaking her head and pointing to the other door. So we knocked on that one and a man opened it and told us to come back on Sunday.

So yesterday we stopped by, not neccessarily expecting much, and he let us in! I need to work on my Faith. We taught a lesson to him, his wife, and aunt who lived there too. They were very attentive and asked questions. We left them with a Book of Mormon and a challenge to read a chapter and set an appointment for the following Sunday! What an interesting and cool experience.

In our companionship study this week we studied Chapter 9 of Preach My Gospel that talks about missionary memeber work. Read this chapter! Find people for the missionaries to teach and be a help to your missionaries in your ward! How much more success we could have if the members truly followed the principles set forth there. Of course we're not perfect, but Christ is thakful for all of our efforts.

"Lasting joy is found in focusing on our Savior, Jesus Christ, and living the gospel as demonstrated and taught by Him"

-Jean B Bingham

This is so true. I promise that as we live the Gospel we can find joy and keep it. I invite all of you to do so! I love you all and am praying always.
